“Summertime” is the title of the next Sunday Night at the Opera on Sunday July 19 at 5:30. And the livin’, as they say, will definitely be easy!

Inspired by the legendary song “Summertime” from George Gershwin’s musical Porgy and Bess, the evening will feature a series of classical, operatic, musical and jazz pieces in the key of “Hot!” Silken melodies will give way to sultry siren songs, passsionate love duets and exciting arias.

On the heels of our amazing all-Broadway program in June, the singers and pianists of Opera-On-Tap will once again provide the entertainment. And as always we’ll pair three sets of music with a three-course, family-style meal.

The Italian regional meal will take advantage of the summer harvest. Fresh figs are a Stellina specialty, and will appear as the key component in our Fig and Gorgonzola Pizza. It’s the height of the summer fishing season, and there will also be the latest catch from the Gulf of Maine, along with fresh pastas.

Details of the event will appear in our newsletter as they are released. Make sure that you are signed up to receive our regular emails, by subscribing a the bottom of this page.

Cost for Opera Night is $48 per person, which includes all entertainment and food. Reservations are required. Call 617-924-9475 or go to the reservation page of this website. See you there!
