On March 22 at 5:30 our monthly Sunday Night At The Opera honors one of the most beloved composers in classical music history, with an entire evening focusing on the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
It’s no exaggeration to say that our operatic literature would be much poorer without Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro, Cosi fan Tutte and all the others. Mozart is the third most-performed operatic composer worldwide, with three of his operas in the Top Ten. If you add in all his other instrumental works, he also ranks as one of the preeminent classical composers in history.
As always the musical portion of Opera Night is in the capable hands of Opera-On-Tap/Boston. Popular soprano Abigail Krawson will be coordinator, assembling an accomplished cast and another unique program.
Sunday Night At The Opera offers three sets of music interwoven with three courses of Italian regional cuisine. The meal is served family-style, the atmosphere is relaxed and informal, and our guests always have a great time.
The cast for our Mozart extravaganza will be as follows:
Abigail Krawson, soprano
Valeska Cambron, soprano (debut)
Christina English, mezzo
Christopher Smith, tenor (debut)
Nathan Rodriguez, baritone (debut)
Sally, VanderPloeg, pianist
Opera Night is $48 per person, including all entertainment and food. Reservations are required. Call 617-924-9475 or go to our reservation page.
