Opera enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for Thursday October 10 at 7:00, when Stellina revives their popular Opera Night series with an evening in honor of Guiseppe Verdi. The most popular operatic composer of all time, Verdi was born 200 years ago to the day.

Highlighting the evening will be sets of arias and ensembles of music as performed by Opera On Tap. OOT is a consortium of opera singers from the Boston area whose goal is to promote opera as a viable, living art form. More information on the group and other events on their calendar can be found at http://operaontap.org

In tandem with the smorgasbord of Verdian-era music Stellina will offer a dinner menu comprised of specialties of the Emilia-Romagna region, Verdi’s homeland. The evening will include classic antipasti, homemade pasta and a variety of entree choices (don’t worry, vegetarians, we’ve got you covered).

Cost for the event is $50 per person, and includes the four-course meal and entertainment. Drinks, other beverages, tax and gratuity are extra.

Make your reservations via the Stellina website or by calling 617-924-9475. While no deposit is requested, a credit card number (with expiration date) is required to hold your reservation, and an email address is helpful to expedite timely confirmation.
