On Thursday October 3rd at 6:30 we will be tasting the upper tier wines from Napa Valley’s St Supery Vineyard. Every single wine that we are pouring has scored 90+ points and/or Five Stars!
This family-owned winery harvests grapes from 30-year old vines that are intermingled with heirloom fruit trees and other plantings in a sustainable, biodiverse setting.
Their Meritage White “Virtu” is a Sauvingon Blanc/Semillon blend reminiscent of the best White Bordeaux, intense yet well balanced. The off-dry Moscato “tastes like fresh peaches cut with a sharp knife”. (Wine & Spirits)
We’ll compare their blended Estate Cabernet Sauvignon with the sinlge-vineyard Dollarhide Cabernet (“it’s massively flavored, huge in jammy blackberries, cherries, cassis and dark chocolate…the finish long and ripe”. (Wine Enthusiast)
And finally we’ll taste “Elu” a Bordeaux-styled red that shows off the classic Napa structure of tannins and acids, full and ripe yet finishing with elegance.
Moderating the event will be one of our most popular speakers, Dexter Lawson of Carolina Wines, a division of Martignetti Wines.
Reservations are required. The price per person is only $30, and inlcudes some light antipasti.
