SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE OPERA begins a new year with our first performance on SUNDAY FEBRUARY 11 at 5:30. For the fifth year in a row we return to one of our favorite themes, MARDI GRAS!
MARDI GRAS marks the end of lighthearted revelry and the beginning of the Lenten season. For some it’s the last chance for a rousing good time, and to that end we present an upbeat evening with party music, fun food, plus masks and beads for all.
The singers and pianists of Boston’s OPERA-ON-TAP are busy planning another spectacular evening. Led by one of our favorite singers, MEZZO GINA RAZON, the troupe will combine classical opera, musicals and song through three sets of sprightly entertainment.
SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE OPERA “MARDI GRAS” combines three sets of music with a three-course dinner, served family-style. In keeping with the mood, this year’s dinner will be built entirely around old fashioned Cajun specialties from the home of North America’s most famous Mardi Gras in NEW ORLEANS.
