If you’re a longtime friend of STELLINA, as well as a fan of great seafood, you won’t want to miss this very special evening. We welcome the return of KIM MARDEN of CAPTAIN MARDEN’S SEAFOODS for another in our annual series of SEAFOOD TASTINGS. Be there on WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1 at 6:30 for an evening of “ITALIAN SEAFOOD CLASSICS”, or, as we sentimentally refer to it, “FRANK’S FAVORITES.”

“FRANK” refers, of course, to FRANK CURCIO, longtime co-owner of STELLINA. Frank had a love and particular affinity for fresh seafood preparations using traditional Italian ingredients and techniques, and this event will present the freshest North Atlantic fish in authentic recipes. In fact most of these dishes are not only Frank’s favorites, but popular Stellina menu choices dating back three decades.

CAPTAIN MARDENS has been Stellina’s exclusive fishmonger since the first day our doors opened in 1986. Their quality is unparalleled and is a key ingredient in the success of many of the  Greater Boston area’s finest restaurants. KIM MARDEN, with his father and family, shares 65-years of experience in the fish business. And at our dinner he’ll be available to answer your questions regarding specific species and trends from a unique perspective.

The cost for the SEAFOOD TASTING is $40 per person. Reservations are required. We suggest that you make them by telephone to insure prompt confirmation. Call 617-924-9475.

FRANK CURCIO is known to you all as the co-owner and guiding light of STELLINA, beginning with its inception in August 1986. Not only did he set the style for which we are known, but many of the dishes on which Stellina’s fame rests were personally researched, designed and perfected by him. Sadly, he passed away last November. But surrounded as we are with a thousand warm memories, we are happy to be able to celebrate his life, in the presence of friends like Kim Marden, with this retrospective of some of his favorite dishes.
